Our relations with Iran are good / Iran’s aid to the resistance is not conditional – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr news agency, the head of the political office of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that our relations with Iran are good. Iran supports the Palestinian resistance and other resistance movements that weaken and engage the Zionist enemy, because the Zionist regime is our common enemy.

Ismail Haniyeh, who spoke to Al-Jazeera television, continued: “Our relations with Iran are not a new issue and have been stable for the past 30 years, and we have been represented in Iran since 1990.”

He added: “The financial support for the defense strategy of the resistance has been provided by Iran and the long-range missiles that we have at our disposal since 2009 belong to Iran.”

The head of Hamas’ political bureau stated: “Relations with Iran continue and all members of the movement’s leadership at all levels agree with these relations and there is a consensus on it.”

Iran has not asked the Palestinian resistance to go to war on its behalf, and we have not yet received conditional financial support from Iran. Haniyeh stressed: “Iran has not asked the Palestinian resistance to enter the war on its behalf, and we have not yet received conditional financial support from Iran, and Hamas’ decision is independent.”

Regarding the reason for Iran’s support for the resistance, he said: “Iran looks at the Palestinian issue from several perspectives; First, the Islamic dimension. Second: Common enmity with the Zionist regime. Third: the political dimension and the emphasis on supporting Sunni movements and ending the rumor that Iran only supports Shiite movements.

The head of Hamas’ political bureau also said about relations with Syria: “Syria covered Hamas politically and provided us with financial support.”

He also touched on Hamas’ relations with other Arab countries and continued: “Hamas has been in direct contact with Saudi Arabia and other Arab parties with the aim of resolving disputes that do not benefit anyone.” Hamas welcomes relations with all Arab countries. We have a history of relations with Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and there has been no change in our position, but it is Saudi Arabia that has changed.

Regarding the inclusion of Hamas in the list of terrorist groups in Britain, Haniyeh said: “This British action is the completion of the previous action of this country in giving Palestinian territory to the Zionists, and London must abandon this decision and action.”

The head of Hamas ‘political bureau also addressed the issue of resistance missiles, stating: “The initial stages of Hamas’ missile program were in 2001, and efforts to develop this program continued until the range of resistance missiles, which were initially only three kilometers, is now deep in the occupied territories.” arrives. The war against the Gaza Strip in 2009 changed the equation, with the post-war resistance trying to acquire deterrent weapons such as long-range missiles, strategic weapons, anti-tank weapons and anti-Israeli vehicles that penetrated into Gaza. started.

“The first war in 2009 was a war of stability and endurance; Second War in 2014 Challenging War; The third war in 2014 was a war to break the greatness of the Zionist army and the fourth war in 2021 was a precursor to national liberation. The battle of Saif al-Quds also proved that the resistance in Gaza is not separate from the developments in other Palestinian territories.
