Pilgrims’ stay in the accommodation centers of Ilam reached more than 70,000 people

According to the Arya Heritage Report, quoting from the Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ilam, Farzad Sharifi announced this news: From the first of Muharram to Friday, 17 Shahrivar, which coincides with 22 Safar, the number of pilgrims is 71,712 in accommodation centers. The province includes hotels, guesthouses, guest houses, tourist camping and daily ecotourism residences.

Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ilam added: This year, with the planned arrangements, the number of overnight stays in Ilam province has increased compared to last year, and the province’s capacity in this sector has reached more than 4,500 overnight stays.

Sharifi clarified: a total of 152 accommodation centers in the province provide services to pilgrims and tourists entering the province during Arbaeen Hosseini (PBUH) days.

He said: In view of the fact that Ilam Province, as the gateway to the shrines of the Almighty, has hosted the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (AS) for a long time, now, as in the past, the accommodation centers have provided all their facilities and equipment to accommodate the pilgrims.
