Putin: The United States is raising energy prices in the world

According to Fars News Agency’s International Service, Russian President Vladimir Putin today (Wednesday) said that the United States is to blame for the increase in the price of energy carriers in the world.

“Unfavorable countries have destroyed the supply chain in the Northern Hemisphere, and other countries are not fulfilling their contracts, and this is creating problems for us,” Putin said in a speech.

“We can export energy to countries that really need it,” he said, according to Sputnik. “We can increase Russia’s consumption of oil, gas and coal in the domestic market.”

Stating that his country has big plans to strengthen and secure navigation systems, the Russian president stressed that the United States is responsible for increasing the price of energy resources in the world.

Putin added that the West’s refusal to cooperate normally with Russia, including on energy resources, has already hurt European countries and the United States.

Earlier, EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell said a strategy to reduce Russia’s dependence on energy resources would take time. (More details)
