According to the Mehr news agency, Russia’s representative in the Vienna talks on lifting sanctions against Iran announced the re-meeting of Borjam members (without Iran) with the US delegation.
According to the report, Mikhail Ulyanov wrote in a Twitter message: On Monday evening, the participants of Borjam (excluding Iran) and the United States met again to compare texts. The meeting was relatively short.
He added: “Given some ambiguities in this regard, let me emphasize that in many cases, members of Borjam, including Iran, meet in the absence of the United States.”
In another tweet, Ulyanov referred to the Russia-US meeting in the Vienna talks and wrote: “Another Russia-US meeting during the Vienna talks.” Our bilateral dialogue is based on the unity of purpose (which is the revival of Barjam) and is very pragmatic.
He continued: “This action deserves to be extended to other areas of common interest.”
It is worth mentioning that the eighth round of talks on lifting the sanctions started last Monday evening with the meeting of the Joint Commission of the UN Security Council chaired by Ali Bagheri, Senior Negotiator of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Enrique Mora, EU Deputy Foreign Minister.
