Reflection of Iran’s defense-offensive authority in the Russian media

According to IRNA, the Interfax news agency reported on Saturday that the Revolutionary Guards of Iran fired several ballistic and cruise missiles at the final stage of the Prophet’s 17th exercise.

The report, which was accompanied by a video of rocket launches during the Prophet’s 17th exercise, quoted Sardar Hossein Salami, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as saying: “Iran held an exercise this week in the Persian Gulf region.” It is a warning to Israel.

Russian media wrote: This Iranian general warned the Zionist regime officials from committing any mistake.

According to IRNA, the final stage of the joint exercise of the 17th Great Prophet (PBUH) of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was carried out by simultaneously firing 16 long-range, medium-range and short-range missiles of the IRGC Air Force towards predetermined targets. At this stage of the Emad, Qadr, Sajil, Zelzal, Dezful and Zulfiqar missile exercises, they hit and destroyed the simulated sensitive positions of the enemy with 100% accuracy.

Referring to the launch of ballistic and cruise missiles in the final phase of the Prophet’s 17th exercise, the Interfax report said: “Iran considers its missile capability as an important deterrent and revenge in the event of any war.”

The Iranian media wrote: “Iranian television showed that a target hit by one of the Iranian missiles fired during the exercise had an appearance that resembled the Israeli Dimona nuclear reactor.”

The Interfax report reminded that the five-day exercise of the Revolutionary Guards under the title of the Great Prophet (PBUH) began on Monday, the 17th, and was attended by ground, naval and air units.

Iran fired 16 missiles simultaneously

The Russian Federal News Agency, called Fan, was another Russian media outlet that covered the Prophet’s 17th exercise and wrote in its report: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired 16 surface-to-surface ballistic missiles during the exercise.

Russian media wrote: the missiles were fired from Kish Island to an area called Farvar and the range of the missiles was between 350 and 2,000 kilometers, which allows the Zionist regime to target US bases in the Persian Gulf region.

“The exercise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was a response to the recent widespread threats by Israeli officials against Iran,” Fan was quoted as saying by General Bagheri, chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces.

The Russian media noted that the five-day exercise began on December 20 in Bushehr, Hormozgan and Khuzestan provinces on the Persian Gulf coast.

Referring to the recent remarks of Sardar Bagheri, the Russian Federal News Agency wrote: Iran does not rule out the possibility of an Israeli attack that may take place to thwart the Vienna talks.

“By holding this exercise, Iran showed its military strength and capability and combat readiness, and used its new weapons in it.”

The website “Krasnaya Vena” also wrote in an article titled “Iran warns Zionist regime officials”: The exercise of the Great Prophet (PBUH) 17 that Iran held this week was a warning to Israel.

“This exercise carries a precise and serious message and is a warning to the Zionist regime not to make mistakes,” Krasnaya Vasna was quoted as saying by Sardar Salami, commander of the Revolutionary Guards. If they take the wrong step, we will cut off their hand.

The report said that in the final phase of the joint exercise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Iran fired 17 sixteen types of missiles simultaneously and all the missiles hit predetermined targets.

Russian media noted that Israel opposes the efforts of world powers to revive the UN Security Council and has long threatened Iran militarily.

In addition, the Israeli Minister of War had previously called on world powers not to allow Iran to waste their time in the nuclear talks, which took place at Tehran’s request, during which there was a short break.

“Israel has the only nuclear arsenal in the Middle East, but it has not officially announced that it has a nuclear weapon,” Krasnaya Vesna wrote.

Israel and US bases in the range of Iranian missiles

In a report on Saturday, the Russian website OSN referred to the holding of the 17th exercise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in southern Iran and wrote: The commander of the Revolutionary Guards called this exercise a warning to the leaders of Israel.
During the exercise, Iranian forces fired ballistic and cruise missiles, which the Islamic Republic of Iran calls a deterrent to US retaliatory forces and other Iranian enemies, the report said.

“Iran has missiles with a range of more than 2,000 kilometers, with which it can target Israeli-based targets and US bases in the region,” the OSN website wrote.
