Rhetoric of the Secretary General of the Arab League against Iran


According to Fars News Agency’s International Group, James Clorley, Deputy Foreign Minister for West Asia and Africa, met with Ahmed Abul Gheit, Secretary General of the Arab League, in Cairo on Monday.

During the meeting, the bilateral cooperation between the Arab League and Britain was examined and Abu al-Gheit praised the historical relations between Britain and the Arab world.

According to the website «TodayDuring the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on regional and international issues, including developments in Iraq, following the announcement of the results of the parliamentary elections.

The Secretary General of the Arab League, while expressing satisfaction with the Iraqi election process and the participation of the union in strengthening the sovereignty of the Iraqi government, stressed the full support for Iraq.

The source in the Arab League said that Abu al-Gheit and the British official also discussed what was called Iran’s interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries.

Abu al-Gheit claimed that Iran’s behavior had caused instability in the region and that Arab countries were opposed to Iran’s behavior and interference.
