Russia’s foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said in a statement that Iran had taken decisive action to prevent the theft of its oil cargo.

“Russia wants Iran and the United States not to escalate the situation,” a Russian foreign ministry spokesman said.

Maria Zakharova added: “Tensions in the Persian Gulf are the result of Washington’s irresponsible policies, which often increase tensions over Iran and the region in general.”

He added: “US provocative actions increase tensions and provoke emotions.” The recent incident in the Oman Sea should be investigated.

The recent confrontation follows the unprofessional behavior of the US warship in the southern waters (Oman Sea) of the country, which was met with a decisive reaction from the Revolutionary Guards’ speedboats, after which the American ship left the scene.

In doing so, the United States confiscated a tanker carrying Iranian oil exports in the waters of the Oman Sea and diverted its oil cargo to another tanker to an unknown destination.

At the same time, the heroes of the IRGC navy captured Heli Burn on the deck of the tanker and directed it to the territorial waters of Iran.

US forces then used several helicopters and warships to pursue the tanker; But with the decisive and authoritative entry of John Berkoff’s forces, the Revolutionary Guards failed.
