Russian Foreign Ministry: Ukraine is recruiting foreign mercenaries for the war



Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, IRNA quoted Sputnik as saying that the situation had worsened with the influx of foreign mercenaries from Ukraine and the Middle East into Ukraine.

According to him, contrary to international law, among other things, mercenaries are recruited by Ukrainian diplomatic missions.

Moscow has repeatedly called on other countries to bar citizens from traveling to Ukraine to join the war.

The Kremlin has stressed that anyone who attacks Russian forces is considered a legitimate target.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday (February 21st) criticized the West for not paying attention to Moscow’s security concerns, saying that his country had recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk republics and had signed cooperation and friendship agreements with their leaders at the Kremlin. .

In a speech on Russian national television on the morning of Thursday, February 24, he announced military action in Donbas and called on Ukrainian forces to lay down their weapons and go home.
