Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister will visit Iran next week

According to IRNA, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Russia, Kazem Jalali, also had a telephone conversation with Mikhail Bagdanov on Friday, on the eve of his visit to Iran.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, regional cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Russia, and developments in Syria.
Lavrentyev, the Russian president’s special envoy for Syria, and Varshinin, Russia’s deputy foreign minister, also headed a delegation last week to discuss bilateral relations and regional cooperation, especially in Syria, following a visit to Tehran from Damascus. Safar and Hossein Amir Abdullahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met and talked.
