Samsung has not yet decided on the fate of Galaxy AI after 2025
The CEO of Samsung’s mobile division, TM Roe, recently discussed the financial future of Galaxy AI. It was previously announced that Galaxy AI features will be free until 2025; Now it seems that the company has not yet made a decision about its future. Of course, Samsung will likely introduce more advanced AI features for a fee in the future. TM Row also said that by the end of 2024, the number of devices equipped with Galaxy AI artificial intelligence will reach 100 million.

The fate of Galaxy AI after 2025
According to TM Row, Samsung hasn’t made any decisions about Galaxy AI’s financial future after 2025:
“According to our analysis, there are different needs for mobile AI; So there will be customers who will be satisfied with the free features of this artificial intelligence. There may also be customers who want and even pay for stronger AI capabilities. Therefore, in future decisions, we will consider all these factors.”
The company has about a year to make a decision about this, and most likely more information will be published by then. TMRo also envisions a bright future for Galaxy AI. According to him, the company plans to bring this technology to more than 100 million devices worldwide by 2024.
Samsung has already confirmed that this AI will arrive in the first half of 2024 in older flagships including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9. It is also possible that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 will have Galaxy AI capabilities. All of these devices could help Samsung reach its 100 million target for Galaxy AI shipments.
