Samsung follows the path of Apple and Huawei

As mentioned, Apple introduced satellite connectivity with the iPhone 14 series. However, this feature won’t be available until November, and for now it’s only covered in the US and Canada. However, according to some rumors, Apple plans to make this feature available in other countries later this year.

Huawei also introduced this feature before Apple with the Mate50 series. According to the Chinese company, the Mate 50 and Mate 50 Pro phones allow users to send short text messages via China’s global BeiDou satellite network, enabling communication in areas without network connectivity.

As for Apple, the company’s iPhone 14 family of phones will connect to the Globalstar satellite network for its new Emergency SOS feature. In this regard, Elon Musk had negotiated with Apple for iPhone satellite communication.

It is not yet clear which service Samsung will use if it adds this feature to its phones. It should also be noted that the satellite connectivity feature of the Galaxy phones is still a rumor and Samsung has yet to officially confirm any details.
