Securing Wardavard Bridge after stealing metal fittings

According to Fars News Agency, Massoud Hagh Lotfi, head of Tehran Engineering and Civil Organization, described the actions of Tehran Engineering and Civil Organization following the theft of metal connections at the intersection of Shahid Hamedani Highway and Varavard River. This year, he announced and said: the above measures were put on the agenda after the traffic blockage on Shahid Hamedani Highway, between Pajouhesh Boulevard and Ardestani Street, in order to resolve the critical situation of Varavard Bridge structure in the shortest possible time and return this intersection to the traffic cycle.

He considered the efforts of the executive units to secure the Varavard Bridge as a round-the-clock activity and stated that the construction and placement of temporary foundations in the first place and jacks and returning the deck to its original state and finally installing the connecting plates in the next stages of work have been followed. , Announced the installation of these connections in three of the four spans of the bridge.

According to the head of the Engineering and Civil Engineering Organization of Tehran, the operation to secure the Wardavard Bridge will be completed soon and the traffic jam on the Shahid Hamedani Highway will be removed.

It is worth mentioning that the bridge at the intersection of Shahid Hamedani Highway and Wardavard River was built in 2013. In January of this year, following the publication of reports of theft and damage to the metal connections of this bridge, the Tehran Crisis Management Headquarters approved the safety of the bridge as a matter of urgency and handed it over to the Engineering and Civil Organization of Tehran.
