According to reports, in future versions of WhatsApp, we will see an increase in the size of the file that can be downloaded and sent, and as a result, these restrictions will be reduced.

If you ever wanted to upload a large file via WhatsApp, this app would not be able to do so. But it seems that this restriction will probably end soon. According to iMore, WhatsApp is testing the increase in file upload and download volume for the new 2GB limit. The company is looking for ways to improve its WhatsApp user experience, and this change is a recent attempt by Meta to add a useful feature to its chat service.

Increase the size of the file sent in WhatsApp from 100 MB to 2 GB

Significant increase in download and upload volume of WhatsApp

WABetaInfo has identified a new limit for files that can be sent via WhatsApp for the first time in a test version of the messenger on Android and iOS. Currently, the ability to increase the size of the submitted file is offered only to Argentine users, but it will most likely be released globally soon.

Prior to the update, WhatsApp had set a 100 MB limit for sending or receiving files in the chat service. Now, with the new change, the size of the uploaded file will be significantly increased to 2 GB, and as a result, the restrictions for content sharing will be reduced.

Of course, this feature is still in beta, so there is still a possibility that WhatsApp will back down from making this change and not release it globally. However, we hope that this messenger service will be able to fix the bugs related to the test version and we will see the release of this feature as soon as possible.
