Simorgh 42 | A look at the first day of Fajr Film Festival; Workers are busy

Fars News Agency – Cinema Group: For a long time, the discussion of the Fajr Film Festival venue had become an important discussion among the media and cinema lovers, a discussion that eventually led to the writing of a memorandum of understanding between the Tehran Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance until Milad Tower 10 days before the start of the Iranian Cinema Festival as The house of Fajr Film Festival should be chosen.
Today is the first day of the Fajr Film Festival, a festival that if you enter its house a little before the first film starts, you will not see any color and smell of the Fajr Film Festival.
The entrances of Milad Tower do not have any sign of a cinema from the beginning until reaching the convention center. When we entered, there was no noise and usual partitioning of the festival, a little ahead the sound of the machine used to cut wood could be heard. The workers were working to prepare the festival headquarters.
On the other hand, the members of the executive staff of the festival, according to themselves, were busy doing the preliminary works of the festival due to the late delivery of Milad Tower. Of course, it should be said that a concert was held in this hall until a few days ago.
Of course, the low and predictable quality of the opening film of the festival caused the Milad Tower’s main hall to be empty of spectators when the first film was screened. This quality made us unable to watch the first movie until its last minute. Outside the screening hall, the festival headquarters used the time of the first film’s screening to complete the festival atmosphere, at least it should be said that the photo call ceremony was not for the first films.
All this caused the workers to work faster and harder than expected at the same time as the festival began, so that maybe from the second day on the corridors of Milad, a sign of the celebration of Iranian cinema will finally be found.
The first film of the first day, “Festival House”, the movie “Beautiful Lies” by Morteza Atesh Zamzam did not have the color and smell of the Fajr Film Festival, “Snail Hunting”, the second film released on the first day of the Fajr Film Festival, may be considered a more serious start for this festival. At least this is the first film of the festival for which regular queues have been formed to enter the movie theater.
But “Two Days Later” as a joint product of Farabi, the basis of the narrative of Fatah and Bahman Sabz due to a different story line that was passed between the film critics before the festival, is the most curious event on the first day of the festival and maybe many people are waiting to see this film. Open to Milad Tower.
