Step-by-step tutorial for upgrading RAM for laptops

You may need to discard the current modules

Sometimes all the RAM ports on your laptop are occupied and you can no longer install more modules on it, this problem occurs when the manufacturer has installed them as Dual Channel, regardless of the capacity of the RAM. In this case, it is better to discard the current modules and use completely new RAMs. Be careful not to touch the gold pins when removing the RAMs, and release the retaining clip on the motherboard as you remove them. To place new rams, just place them in the right direction on the door and press a little.

Be sure to unplug your laptop and turn it off completely before removing or installing the RAM. It is better to disconnect the battery as well. Finally, you can turn on the system after replacing the RAMs and go to the same section in the Task Manager to check if the RAMs are installed correctly with the capacity written on them.
