Kata also got good results and the importance that the federation attaches to kata also came to fruition. This was a good omen for Iranian kata to be more successful in the future.
“Success in Kazakhstan shows that karate has great support and we are encouraged,” he added. Definitely, these worthy people in the basic teams will provide the senior national team in the future.
Tabatabai praised the Iranian girls team and added: “They performed well in Islamic dress.” This shows the importance of public and championship. Our girls were as successful as the boys, and sometimes even better. Now the task of the federation and karate masters has become heavier and we have to work harder.
The president of the Karate Federation continued: “New countries won medals in this year’s Asian Championships, which in the past had no place among the medalists.” This reflects the investment of Asian countries.
Regarding the worrying performance of the Iranian team in some categories, he said: “This championship will not make us proud, but in the adult section, expectations were higher.” Basic medals will not make us proud and we will not be disappointed with the unexpected results of some categories.
Tabatabai continued: “Expectations were not met in some sectors.” We examine weight by weight in each performance category. We will have a careful assessment to address the weaknesses because we have important events ahead of us next year.
