According to the Mehr news agency, quoting the public relations of the Wrestling Federation, this competition is the second stage of the selection cycle of the national freestyle wrestling team with a weight of 2 kg and in the weights of 57-61-65-70-74-79-86-92-97- 125 kg will be held.
According to the rules of the World Union, these competitions will be held in three days with the presence of people who have not won quotas in the national championships. Also, according to the desired quality level of the national championship and with the aim of motivating the first to third teams (Mazandaran, Tehran and Kermanshah) 5 quotas have been awarded. Of course, the provinces of North Khorasan and East Azerbaijan also received two more quotas due to the performance of their wrestlers in the national championship.
On the other hand, wrestlers who did not attend the weightlifting ceremony on the second day of the national championships will not be allowed to participate in the competitions and will be eliminated from the 2022 national freestyle wrestling team cycle. Of course, 3 people who were present in the weightlifting on the second day but did not reach the weight category can wrestle in a higher weight.
According to the Wrestling Federation, due to the prevalence of coronary heart disease, all participants are required to submit their PCR test with a validity period of up to 72 hours to the medical committee located at the venue.
These competitions will be held without the presence of spectators by the decision of the Wrestling Federation due to coronary restrictions.
