Taxis in Marivan were equipped with card readers

Shahriar Rahimi said in an interview with IRNA on Tuesday: “After concluding the memorandum of understanding, 500 taxi drivers in Marivan will receive fare from passengers instead of receiving cash using a mobile card reader.”

Noting that this is the first time this has been done in Kurdistan, he added: “Marivani drivers, in addition to facilitating the receipt of rent, can also benefit from the bank benefits and loan facilities of this card reader from the Omid Entrepreneurship Fund of Kurdistan.”

The head of Omid Kurdistan Entrepreneurship Fund added: to hand over the card reader to customers, the card reader payment facility fund will pay them 36-month installments and 4% commission.

Rahimi pointed out that equipping public transportation vehicles, especially taxis, with card readers, in addition to maintaining cleanliness and health, will reduce conflicts and verbal disputes between drivers and passengers. He also decides to help renovate Marivan taxi drivers.

Currently, there are 10 branches of the Entrepreneurship Fund in Kurdistan Province and it provides services to the people by providing facilities in various fields.
