In an exclusive interview with IRNA reporter on Monday, Mohammad Shafiizadeh added: Laleh Dezful Park was handed over to this fund in 10-year contract between the General Directorate of Natural Resources of Khuzestan and the Sahib Al Zaman Fund in 2019 in the form of Article 3 plan.

He continued: According to this contract, it was stipulated that part of this park should be cultivated and another part should be pruned and lightened, in return, the contractor should undertake the protection of the park. In addition, the annual harvest of 500 tons of wood from Tulip Park was mentioned in the contract. But this was never allowed.

He added: Considering the problems that have arisen and the entry of non-governmental organizations, we are at the stage of terminating the contract with the executive, although the executive fund has claimed damages.

Stating that the legal procedures for contract termination should be followed, Shafiizadeh said: All these measures are being carried out at the level of the General Administration, and we hope that the task will be determined as soon as possible, because the passage of time has caused the first executive to become unmotivated, and in practice, work has been done in the park. he does not give.

He stated that Dezful Natural Resources and Watershed Administration is seriously pursuing this issue, and added: Laleh Park map had problems due to the opponents and occupations that took place. Some owners and farmers were opposed to trying to fix the defects during this period.

Shafiizadeh stated that this department with 13 official forces, one contract force and eight ghurabans has the task of protecting 370 thousand hectares of forest in this city, he said: the territorial structure of Dezful city is such that the entire development of the province in terms of agricultural land, industry and The development of settlements has spread over a range of 100 to 120 thousand hectares, one third of which is not accessible by road, and the protection of these areas requires walking and traveling long distances.

Shafiizadeh stated that these measures were carried out in cooperation with the Registration Department and the General Department of Natural Resources of Khuzestan province, and said: The plan is being completed, modified and revised to resolve the conflicts of the people with the government departments.

He added: The purpose of stopping some construction projects is to find a way so that fewer trees are cut and the soil is less damaged. Therefore, the projects should be valued and implemented if they are cost-effective.

Appreciating the actions of natural resources partners, Shafiizadeh said: Oak trees in the north of Dezful are very valuable due to their impact on reducing flood damage and climate change, and the value of each oak tree is estimated at 24 billion rials.

Emphasizing the need to protect forest trees, he added: We suffer a lot of damage for cutting each tree, so it is necessary to take necessary measures to protect these trees and people should also help in this regard.
The head of the Dezful Natural Resources and Watershed Department regarding the fight against forest pests also said: This year, 500 billion Rials have been spent in Khuzestan province to control the pests of forest trees, and a part of this credit has been allocated in 2 stages for 6,130 hectares of Dezful forests to fight against pests.
