The 10th Khalkhal Winter Sports Festival was held

According to the report of Arya Heritage and quoted from the Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ardabil Province, the 10th Khalkhal Winter Sports Festival was held on Friday, 13th of Bahman, with a wide welcome from the fans and with the performance of winter rituals and competitions.

The head of Khalkhal city’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Department said about this festival: In the 10th Khalkhal Winter Games and Sports Festival, which was held at the Raghab Tourism Complex, located on the communication route and tourism hub of Khalkhal to Islam, the participants in the fields of speed skiing, tubing Rides, fast mountain climbing along with the performance of artists of the art of making snow and ice sculptures competed.

Ali Darvishi added: In this festival, which was accompanied by music performances and cultural programs, an exhibition of handicrafts of the city’s handicraft artists was held along with local foods.

The governor of Khalkhal, while praising the participants of this festival, said: This festival was very well received by the people and creating social excitement along with introducing the winter tourism capacities of Khalkhal city is one of the goals of this festival.

At the closing ceremony of the festival, the top winners of the festival’s statue competitions were awarded with cash prizes.
