According to Mehr reporter, yesterday, the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Cooperation, Labor and Social Welfare and Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held.
During this cooperation memorandum, which was signed in the presence of Mohammad Rezvanifar, Deputy Minister of Economy and Head of Customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Mehdi Maskani, Deputy Minister of Cooperative Affairs of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare, with the aim of accelerating and facilitating the clearance process of cooperatives’ goods; It was decided to identify and introduce the cooperatives that meet the conditions of membership in the list of selected customs economic operators.
Also, training about the knowledge of cooperatives to the customs staff, helping to conduct joint studies regarding the export of cooperatives, empowering cooperatives in the field of foreign trade, laws and regulations, customs rights and regulations, and priority in granting facilities and legal incentives to export cooperatives, including the obligations of the ministry. Cooperation is work and social welfare.
In this comprehensive and joint cooperation, the approval of cooperatives as selected customs economic operators after meeting the conditions of customs declaration, according to the AEO instructions, providing offline statistics of cooperatives’ exports by the amount of export value, destination countries, type of goods and other necessary information on a quarterly basis. Six-monthly, nine-monthly and annually within 15 working days at the end of each season, assistance in speeding up the customs formalities of the cooperatives’ goods, directing the maximum amount of the cooperatives’ goods in the green customs route according to the guidelines of the selected economic operators of the customs and accepting a bank guarantee for a maximum of one year for the payment of the import duties of the goods. Cooperatives are under the responsibility of the customs of the Islamic Republic of Iran according to the guidelines for guarantees.
Among the other goals of the implementation of this memorandum, we can mention the identification and introduction of cooperatives that have foreign exchanges, supporting cooperatives in order to accelerate and facilitate the clearance of goods in accordance with the guidelines of selected economic operators of customs, and providing necessary training by the parties.
