The Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, introduced sweeping reforms in the cabinet, and new Qatari government ministers were sworn in.

According to Sputnik, quoting Al-Khaleej Online, the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, on Tuesday implemented extensive reforms in the cabinet, including the appointment of some women in it and the separation of some ministries.

The new Qatari government ministers were sworn in, and the Emir of Qatar appointed a new chief of staff.

The Ministry of Culture was separated from Sports and Youth, the Ministry of Communications through Roads and Information Technology, the Ministry of Environment from Municipal Affairs and the Ministry of Labor from Social Development.

The name of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education was also changed to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

According to the new reforms, which are the largest since the Emir of Qatar took office, there are three women in the Qatari government and three new members of the ruling family have joined the cabinet.

The reforms include Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman al-Thani, Defense Minister Khalid bin Mohammed al-Attiyah, Health Minister Hanan al-Kuwari and Qatari Interior Minister Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani, Energy Minister Saad bin Sharida al-Kaabi and Minister Massoud bin Mohammed al-Amiri The Qatari judiciary has remained unchanged.

According to the Qatar Qana news agency, the Amiri court of Qatar also announced that the new ministers had sworn in before the Emir of Qatar.
