The first special route of Soran Motor was launched in Tehran

According to Fars News Agency’s urban correspondent, Amir Yazdi, the mayor of Tehran’s 12th district, said about the first special motorcycle route in Tehran: “Motorcycle traffic always increases significantly in the central areas of the city, which has a traffic plan, and therefore, attention to safety is maintained.” And preventing accidents caused by motorcyclists using traffic solutions is of great importance.

Referring to motorcycle traffic in the Amirkabir tunnel, Yazdi explained: There are two openings in the Amin highway, where vehicles move from the southern tunnel to 17 Shahrivar Street and from the northern tunnel to the Imam Ali (AS) Highway in the north. Unfortunately, due to the demand from 17 Shahrivar Street to Tehran Bazaar, the motorbikes were moving in the opposite direction from the southern tunnel and entering the southern tunnel from 17 Shahrivar Street; That is, in the southern tunnel, where the route is west to east, motorbikes entered the tunnel from east to west to be able to access Amin Kabir Street (Amin Hazour Highway).

He added that this incident caused tragic incidents such as accidents leading to death in this tunnel, adding: “For example, in December of this year, due to the movement of motorcycles, unfortunately, some cases of this type of accidents occurred in this tunnel;” Therefore, during our visits to this tunnel in the presence of the Director General of Traffic Safety and Engineering and the representative of Rahvar Police, it was decided to consider a solution to solve this problem; Then, a ramp in the northern tunnel from 17 Shahrivar Street to Amin Highway was reopened and a route with a width of about 2 meters was foreseen for motorcyclists.

The mayor of the heart of Tehran continued: this route was separated and secured from 17 Shahrivar street to Amin-e-Hozour intersection at about 800 meters and was used as a safe route for motorcyclists; Therefore, motorcyclists who intend to access the Amin Hazour Highway from 17 Shahrivar Street and used to use the southern tunnel in the opposite direction can now safely use the northern tunnel through the motorcyclists’ route.

According to Yazdi, this route is one of the first special motorcycle routes in Tehran, which was completed a few days ago, its safety has been done and is now operational.
