The key specifications of Snapdragon 898 were revealed ahead of schedule

Prior to the launch of the Snapdragon 898, key features were leaked through a shared image of the benchmark app installed on a smartphone.

Qualcomm will likely unveil its next flagship chipset, likely Snapdragon 898, for mobile at next month’s Tech Summit. An image of an unknown phone with this chip has now been released, which confirms some of its key specifications.

As shown in the image above, the model number of Qualcomm’s next flagship chip is sm8450. The chip also uses a 3.0 GHz Cortex X2 core, three 2.5 GHz Cortex-A710 cores and four 1.79 GHz low-power Cortex-A510 cores.

In addition, Qualcomm’s flagship chip is equipped with an Adreno 730 GPU for its graphics processing. Although this is not mentioned in the image, but according to previous reports, this chipset will include the Snapdragon X65 5G modem, which is said to offer a download speed of 10 Gbps.

There are no details about the name of the phone visible in the image. As you can see in the picture, this phone is equipped with narrow bezels, but its design is not fully visible.

Xiaomi and Vivo are two brands that are expected to introduce a new flagship phone with a Snapdragon 898 processor early next month. Last year, Xiaomi introduced the May 11 5G with the Snapdragon 888 in December 2020, so the Xiaomi 12 will likely be replaced next month.
