The next generation Huawei laptop comes with DDR5 RAM and a new 5nm chipset

The portable PC market is on the verge of a major transformation as we soon see the introduction of the new generation of Intel Alder Lake-P mobile processors and AMD’s new consultants. Laptops with Intel twelfth-generation mobile processors will hit the market early next year, but it looks like Huawei’s next-generation laptops are not going to use these processors because, according to My Drivers, Chinese manufacturer plans to use a new chipset in Dyna Cloud L420 in its device.

The Dyna Cloud L420 is reportedly equipped with Huawei’s new ARM chipset called the Kirin 9006C. This chipset has an eight-core CPU with a core frequency of up to 3.1 GHz. It is also said that this chipset is equipped with a new GPU called Kirin 9000C. Unlike Intel and AMD x86 processors, which are based on 10- and 7-nanometer lithography, the Kirin 9006C is developed with 5-nanometer technology, which is on par with the latest Apple and Qualcomm mobile chipsets.

Leaked technical specifications of the next generation Huawei laptop

According to the latest technical details, the Kirin 9006C will come with 8GB of DDR5 RAM and 256 or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage for the next-generation Huawei laptop. The display of this device will be 14 inches with a resolution of 2160 x 1440. In terms of wireless connectivity, this laptop will be equipped with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 4.2 technologies. Huawei has included HDMI, USB-A, USB-C ports and a Gigabit network port with a mini-RJ45 jack for this device. A 56-watt-hour battery will power the device, which will be charged by a USB-C port with fast charging technology.

Given that Huawei is on the US sanctions list, the device is unlikely to enter the US market. The Chinese manufacturer is also under sanctions by US hardware and software companies, so Huawei’s new laptop will likely be equipped with Kirin OS and Unity OS. It may be updated to HarmonyOS in the future. The Dyna Cloud L420 will replace the Qingyun L410 laptop, the first Huawei laptop to feature the Kirin 990 ARM chipset. No information is currently available on the price or release date of this device.
