The Oppo A55s 5G was officially unveiled
Oppo recently unveiled the fourth model of the A55 series called the Oppo A55s 5G. The manufacturer has not yet specified exactly what the suffix s stands for, because looking at the technical specifications of this product, it can be seen that this phone is actually a cheap version of the A55 5G that was previously marketed, and only in a few minor cases, including Prices vary. First of all, it should be noted that this model is completely different from the Japanese version of the A55s 5G (in terms of technical specifications). Like other members of the A55 series, the manufacturer has used MediaTek’s 7-nanometer Dimensity 700 chip, which includes two Cortex-A76 cores (2.2 GHz) and six A55 cores (2.0 GHz) with a Mali-G57 GPU, respectively. Technical specifications of Oppo A55s 5G
The Oppo A55s 5G comes in two configurations including 6GB of RAM and up to 8GB of RAM (both versions are LPDDR4x) and, like the previous series, has 128GB of internal storage. Of course, users can increase the amount of storage space through the MicroSD port. The 6.5-inch LCD display with HD Plus resolution and 20: 9 aspect ratio along with the 60 Hz refresh rate is the general specifications of this screen. Also, the 8-megapixel selfie camera has a notch at the top of the screen.
On the back we see a triple camera that includes a 13-megapixel main lens, a 2-megapixel macro lens and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field lens, respectively. In terms of battery, we do not see a change compared to the original model, and the manufacturer still uses a 5000 mAh battery, although it should be noted that none of the 5G models of the A55 series support fast charging.
The phone comes with accessories such as a charger, a USB A to C cable, a jelly case and some other items. The Oppo A55s 5G is currently available for pre-order in China and will go on sale on April 25. The base model will include 6GB of RAM with 128GB of internal storage for 1,100 yuan ($ 175) and the 8GB of RAM with similar internal storage will be priced at 1,200 yuan ($ 190).
Perhaps the biggest difference between the original model and the A55s has to do with their pricing. The A55 5G was launched last year at a higher price (1,600 yuan) and production has now stalled.
