According to the Mehr reporter, Mohammad Reza Davarzani, the president of the Volleyball Federation, had a sharp reaction to his critics on Wednesday. The referee attacked Behnam Mahmoud and Mohammad Torkashvand and stated that the pain of these friends is that they are not in volleyball. They have their own pain that they are not the head coach of the national team, the president or the secretary of the federation.
In an interview with Mehr reporter, Behnam Mahmoudi, in response to Mohammad Reza Davarzani’s remarks, said: “Many reporters contacted me.” I do not respond to referee’s speeches for the sake of the people, the volleyball community and the peace of volleyball. Anyway, the referee for volleyball has worked very hard and he is the father of volleyball. My talk was also an expert opinion on the results of volleyball in this year’s tournament.
He added: “But regarding the talk against the critics, I must say that these are the greats of Iranian volleyball.” If I were a judge, I would be a father and I would listen to what they had to say, and I would use that talk as much as it made sense.
The Iranian volleyball veteran continued: I was surprised by the referee’s words. He is an old political director and I will not answer him for the sake of the people and the volleyball family. Eventually, I will do my best to promote the name of Iran, the happiness of the people and the leadership, and I will help volleyball to improve. I will be in the service if the referee wants help.
