Lebanese television channel LBC initially reported that one person was killed and eight others were injured in a shooting at protesters in Beirut-based magazine, but according to the latest reports, the death toll has risen to three.

The army is trying to identify and neutralize the perpetrators of the shooting. On Thursday morning, supporters of Shiite parties gathered in the Lebanese capital to take part in a large demonstration demanding the removal of Tariq Bitar, the chief judge in the 2020 Beirut port bombing in the Taiyuni neighborhood.
