The time of the funeral of “Iran Droudy” was announced

According to the visual correspondent of Fars News Agency, the body of “Iran Droudy”, known as the painter of light, will be buried on Tuesday, November 2, in the Behesht Zahra (PBUH) artists’ section. This decision was made last night (Saturday, November 29) by the family and the board of trustees of the Iran Droudy Foundation.

According to the foundation, the living body of Droudy will be escorted in front of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Iran at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, and then will leave for Behesht Zahra Tomb and will be buried in the artists’ section at 11:00 AM.

Droudy had previously commanded that his works be buried in the museum, which was not possible due to the museum’s unpreparedness. The plan to build the Droudy Museum of Iran was overhauled in September 2016 in the Yousefabad neighborhood, but was not built. The late painter has donated 195 of his paintings to the Iranian people and hopes to install them in his museum before his death.
