The United States has imposed sanctions on the President of Nicaragua

The United States has banned Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega from entering the United States, according to Fars News Agency’s International Group.

The United States has claimed that the reason for the sanctions was “suppression of human rights and democracy in Nicaragua.”

Voting for the general election in Nicaragua took place on Sunday. Large numbers of people went to the polls to elect the president and members of parliament for Nicaragua, as well as the Central American Central Parliament, and the people elected Daniel Ortega and the Sandinista Party.

Ortega, 75, as an anti-American fighter in the late 1970s, helped overthrow the right-wing dictatorship of the Somoza family and is now the longest-serving political leader on the continent, with 15 consecutive years in power in Nicaragua.

Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Dennis Moncada recently said that the United States and some European countries are aggressing against other countries in an attempt to influence their domestic politics in order to gain political dominance.

End of message.
