According to IRNA, the second stage of the selection of the national women’s karate team was held between the third joint and karateka selected by the staff, and finally one karateka from each weight advanced to the next selection stage.
The winners of this selection are as follows:
Negative weight 50 kg: Mahdieh Abbasi from Gilan province
Negative weight 55 kg: Fatemeh Saadati from Mazandaran province
Negative weight 61 kg: Atosa Golshadnejad from Kermanshah province
Negative weight 68 kg: Zahra Yavari from Tehran province
Positive weight 68 kg: Hengameh Jafari from Isfahan province
In the next stage, the selection of the women’s national team and in each weight, there will be 4 karatekas. These people will include the national team of Iran in the 2021 Asian Championship, the first and second members of the national championship and karate selected from the second selection stage.
This selection will be held in three weeks and on the 6th, 13th and 18th of Esfand on a round trip basis, so that finally 3 karatekas in each weight will join the national team.
