According to Mehr reporter, Ayub Agakhani, the writer and director of theater and radio shows, in his radio activities, goes to the famous and influential works of world literature and dramatic literature and presents these works to the audience in the form of a directed radio show. In one of the series he has directed, he has gone to the play “Gharb Aqhiyy” or “Gharb Haghigi” by Sam Separd, one of the prominent works of contemporary dramatic literature in the world.
American playwright, director and actor Sam Shepard is considered one of the most honored writers of this country in the 20th century. This Pulitzer Prize winner has completely portrayed the spirit of contemporary America in his works. Among his successful and staged plays, we can mention the show “Gharb Haghigi” or “Gharb Haghigi”. Sam Shepard was born in 1943 and died of ALS 73 years later.
“True West” is the story of 2 brothers named Lee and Austin; Lee Daim al-Khumri is an unemployed person who earns money the wrong way, and Austin, who has achieved success in screenwriting.
Shepard in the real west and from Austin’s point of view in his screenplay ties the west to its violent western roots.
The radio show “True West” was produced in 4 episodes, in the first episode of which, with a duration of 18 minutes and 23 seconds, Hollywood producer Sal Kimer tells Austin that he was fascinated by Lee’s plot and script and thought it was worth it. Sal offers Austin to write Lee’s script as well, but Austin refuses. Sal says that Lee told him about their father that he needed money and needed help. Austin says he didn’t write the script because he helped his father before, but he used all the money to buy alcohol.
Sal tells Austin that $300,000 has been set aside to write the script. Austin again declines the offer.
Austin says that Lee’s script is useless and doesn’t have a real story, but Sal believes that Lee’s plan about reality and nature and geography and the people of the West is real, but…
