Third of December; Time to process the Iranian Judo complaint



According to IRNA, the Court of Arbitration for Sport, in a letter to the Iranian Judo Federation, announced the 3rd of December as the time to consider the case of the Iranian Judo complaint and the ruling of the disciplinary committee of the World Judo Federation.

In the initial case, the permanent suspension for Iranian judo was declared void by the Court of Arbitration for Sport with a specific precondition and a verdict, and the case was referred to the disciplinary committee of the World Federation.

After that, the disciplinary committee of the World Judo Federation banned the Iranian Judo Federation from participating in all international events for 4 years (from September 2019 to September 2023) on May 29, this year.

Immediately, the legal team of the Judo Federation of Iran filed another complaint in the Court of Arbitration for Sport against the decision of the Disciplinary Committee of the World Federation.

After that, both sides presented bills to the arbitration court, and finally, the judges of the Sports Arbitration Court, after considering the complaints, announced in a letter the third of December in the form of a video conference during the hearing of Iran’s complaint.
