Unprecedented preparations by Lebanese and Palestinians to mark World Al-Quds Day


According to Fars News Agency’s International Service, media sources report unprecedented preparations for the World Al-Quds Day commemoration in Beirut and the visits of Palestinian leaders to Lebanon, as well as meetings for consultation and coordination.

But this year, preparations for the revival look different, and all Lebanese and Palestinian national forces have been mobilized to turn this day into an opportunity to increase public presence and achieve the greatest solidarity with the Palestinian people, Jerusalem and the guardians of the Holy Shrine. “Because this occasion began with the escalation of Israel’s dangerous tension against Jerusalem and the rise of Palestinian popular resistance in the West Bank, and this is what makes this occasion exceptional this year.”

According to the report, in the last speech of Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, he called for widespread public participation this year to celebrate Al-Quds Day and prepared for a large-scale popular festival on the southern outskirts of Beirut on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan. He himself will deliver a speech on the situation in occupied Palestine.

In this regard, in recent days, Beirut has witnessed the arrival of Palestinian delegations from various factions and the holding of intensive meetings to discuss the developments in occupied Palestine. Among the Palestinian figures who have entered Lebanon these days are Hamas leader Musa Abu Marzouq, Hamas’s deputy in the West Bank, Zaher Jabbarin, who met with Fatah leaders under the supervision of President Nabih Berri. The Lebanese parliament participated, ending the dispute between the two sides after the Al-Burj camp incident.

Mohammad al-Hindi, a member of the political bureau of the Islamic Jihad movement, was another political figure who entered Lebanon from Gaza, and according to reports, Beirut will see more Palestinian leaders in the coming days. Hezbollah in Lebanon is attending meetings of Palestinian leaders in Beirut to establish strategic coordination, especially given the current situation and the escalation of dangerous Israeli tensions.
