US and Qatar foreign ministers’ consultation on nuclear negotiations


According to the report of the Fars International News Agency, Qatar’s official news agency announced the telephone conversation between Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Abd al-Rahman Al-Thani and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

According to this report, in this phone call, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations between Doha and Washington and ways to develop relations in various fields.

Qatar News Agency wrote that Sheikh Mohammad and Blinken also discussed the latest developments related to the sanctions lifting negotiations between Iran and the Western parties.

Doha hosted the last round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States, mediated by the representative of the European Union, on Tuesday and Wednesday last week.
Ali Bagheri, Political Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chief Negotiator of the Islamic Republic of Iran, told reporters on Sunday on the sidelines of the 4th American International Conference on Human Rights about these negotiations: “The negotiations in Doha took place within the framework that was determined earlier, and the continuation of the talks is based on an agreement.” that Mr. Enrique Mora is currently in consultation between us and the other party, according to which the time and place are being finalized in the exchange between us and Mr. Mora.

On Friday, Bloomberg announced the possibility of resuming negotiations in the next three to four weeks.
