US: We have made progress in the Vienna talks / we have not reached an agreement yet

A State Department spokesman told reporters at a local time on Wednesday evening that in recent days we have announced that an agreement is neither imminent nor final.

He claimed that we are preparing for both scenarios of return or non-return to Borjam.

Regarding Russia’s role in the UN Security Council, Ned Price said that a practical role for Russia in the UN Security Council is the same as its role before the US withdrawal from the UN Security Council in 2018.
He explained that this role is primarily to accept and purchase high-purity Iranian enriched uranium so that Tehran can not acquire a nuclear weapon. This is a role we are willing to accept.

“We are ready for both worlds, with or without Barjam,” a State Department spokesman told reporters on Tuesday evening local time. In any case, US President Joe Biden has pledged that Iran will not acquire a nuclear weapon. This is a firm commitment, and whether we achieve it or not, we will live up to that commitment.
White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said the United States and its allies have made progress in the Vienna talks, but issues remain and it is unclear whether they will be resolved.

“We have made progress over the past few weeks,” Sullivan told reporters on the Air Force One presidential plane as he accompanied US President Joe Biden on a trip to Brussels. There are still issues.

He added that it was unclear whether these issues would be resolved, but that the allies were trying to use diplomacy to re-impose restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program.
The final Vienna agreement awaits US political decisions on a number of key issues.

“If the American side acts realistically, we are ready to finalize the agreement with the presence of the foreign ministers in Vienna,” Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told a joint news conference with Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Miqdad in Damascus on Wednesday.

“We are closer to an agreement in Vienna than ever before,” he said. We will not cross.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a telephone call with Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani regarding the Vienna talks, stressed the need to pay attention to the interests of the Iranian people and the red lines of the Islamic Republic of Iran. A good, strong and lasting agreement is fully prepared.

The Qatari Foreign Minister also appreciated Iran’s constructive role in the Vienna talks and stressed the need for all parties to reach an agreement.
