What are the 68 works in the list of national works?


68 works were recognized as worthy of registration in the list of national works, including paintings, exquisite carpets, handwritten Qurans and personal belongings left by Seyyed Jamaluddin Asadabadi.


According to Moj News Agency, the latest meeting of the National Council for the Registration of Movable Works with the presence of real and legal members of the Council, in Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts held.

In this meeting, 74 cases in the form of movable historical works were presented by the General Departments of Cultural Heritage, Tourism of Tehran, Qom, Fars and Khuzestan in the National Council of Registration and at the end of the review of the cases, 68 works were worthy of registration in the list of national works and 3 works They were recognized as eligible for registration in the list of valuable historical works (relevant indexes of national works).

In the consultative meeting of the National Movable Registration Council, the valuation of two works based on the criteria of registration was found to lack the value of being included in the list of national works and relevant lists, and one work was removed from the meeting agenda due to the completion of research studies and verification of the criteria and documents provided. To be presented to the Council again after completing the studies.

Out of the 74 works presented to the Council, 57 were from the exquisite collections under the supervision of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts and 17 works belonged to the private sector and other government institutions, among which we can mention prominent works such as 8 exquisite manuscript Quran books. Belonging to the Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage and the Holy Threshold of Shahcheragh (PBUH), the collection of personal belongings left by Seyyed Jamaluddin Asadabadi belonging to the Islamic Council Museum, 11 exquisite historical carpets belonging to the Carpet Museum, 2 works including the collection of works titled tubular glass belonging to Chaghazanbil Temple with Middle Elamite date, 13 historical paintings with oil painting technique and a number of scientific historical tools and equipments, museum objects and exquisite artistic sculptures.

The cultural works submitted to the Council for the Registration of National Movable Artifacts were dated from millennia BC to the Islamic and contemporary periods, which is a confirmation of Iran’s cultural richness and the place of art in our country.

The registration plates of the works approved by the National Council for the Registration of Movable Works are issued and after completing the legal formalities, they are notified to the trustees of the protection of the work and are under the legal protection of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
