What is the prerequisite for signing the Armenian peace treaty?
According to the online economy report, quoted by Isna, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev said today (Thursday) that the peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan can be signed only after the implementation of amendments to the Armenian constitution.
According to the report of Sputnik news agency, Aliyev further stated: The declaration of Armenian state sovereignty includes direct requests for the union of Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia, references to this document are also reflected in the Constitution of Armenia. If changes are made in the Constitution of Armenia and other legal documents of this country, peace can be achieved.
Meanwhile, last month, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Aliyev discussed the peace process between the two countries during the meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia.
