You can set your main profile so that only your selected users can see it. While the second secondary profile picture is displayed for users who are unable to see your main profile picture. This feature wants to make sure that your personal photo is safe from the view of annoying and extra people.

How does the WhatsApp dual profile picture feature work?

WhatsApp has added this new feature to the Privacy menu of its application. You must first choose to whom your main profile picture will be displayed. The following four options are available to you:

• Everyone
• My Contacts – My audience
• My Contacts with the exception
• Nobody

Any of the following options that are selected for your main profile will be selected for the second profile (except the Everyone option). This means that if you select the My Audience option, the second photo will be displayed to all users who are not your audience. If you select My audience except…, those users for whom you have made an exception will see your second profile.
