Widespread fire in a residential building on Valiasr Street

According to Fars News Agency’s urban correspondent, Jalal Maleki, spokesman for the Tehran Municipality Fire Department, stated: At 11:58 a.m. today, firefighters were notified of a fire in a 6-storey 12-unit building on Valiasr St. on Fayazi St. through the 125 system.

He added: the forces of 3 fire stations were sent to the scene with the required equipment.

A spokesman for the Tehran Municipality Fire Department noted: The sixth floor was completely on fire and some were trapped on the first floor.

He stated: A 70-year-old woman was trapped in the building, which the fire brigade managed to save and was delivered to the emergency room.
