Will the car import tariff change?

According to Eqtesad Online, quoting the Journalists’ Club, Salehnia, Deputy Minister and Head of the Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran, said: “Car import tariffs for next year have not changed.”

Tariffs range from 40 to 70 percent. These percentages will be determined based on engine size.

Hybrid-electric cars have the lowest tariffs, but for other cars they are tariffed in four categories: 1000 cc, 1000 to 1500 cc, 1500 to 2000 cc and 2000 to 2500 cc.
