Zelinsky: Negotiations with Russia are difficult

According to Fars News Agency’s International Service, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described negotiations with Russia as difficult.

In an interview with IBS, Zelensky said talks were ongoing to end the conflict with Russia, but that the path to negotiations was difficult.

Asked if he agreed with the concerns of President Joe Biden and other US officials about the possibility of a third world war, he said: “No one knows, maybe it has already begun. What difference does it make when World War III begins when Ukraine has fallen? “Nobody knows.”

According to «ریانووستی“We are defending our children and our property, and defenseless citizens are standing up to the Russian occupation,” the Ukrainian president was quoted as saying. “Safe crossings were not active today because Russian forces did not stop firing.”

“The Russian military has suffered more than its casualties in Chechnya and Afghanistan,” Zelensky said. “Despite the Russian army’s efforts to prevent the operation, we were able to evacuate 6,000 civilians today, including 2,000 children.”

“More sanctions should be imposed on Russia and we should have air defense to stop the war,” he said. “We have a plan to rebuild the country after the war, and we promise every citizen whose home has been destroyed.”

Earlier, White House spokeswoman Jennifer Sacchi reiterated Kiev’s call for a no-fly zone over Ukraine, as well as a decision by some European countries to provide fighter jets.

Diplomatic sources at the United Nations say a Security Council vote on a draft Russian humanitarian resolution on Ukraine will be held on Friday. (More details)
