In an interview with Fars News Agency economic reporter, Ali Bahrehmand informed about the increase in the price of zucchini and okra and said: the price of zucchini and okra has increased by 45% compared to the holy month of Ramadan last year due to the increase in raw materials and production costs.

He added: “According to this, the supply price of each kilogram of zucchini and okra in first class guild units is 70 thousand tomans and the price of each kilogram of zucchini and okra in second degree guild units is 60 thousand tomans.”

The head of the Tehran Confectionery, Confectionery and Confectionery Owners Union, referring to the increase in the price of raw materials for the production of zucchini and okra, said: the price of sugar is 80% compared to last year, oil in the open market between 200 to 300%, saffron more than 100%. Starch increased by more than 100%, flour by more than 100%.

He added: “This year, in order to regulate the market for the holy month of Ramadan, a part of sugar and oil at the government price has been provided to the producers, and according to this issue, the price of roulette and okra has been determined.”

Beneficiary stated: If these two goods were not provided to confectioners and confectioners at the government price, the price of each kilo of zucchini and okra would reach more than 100 thousand tomans.
