Fajr visual arts festival policy council members were appointed

According to Fars, according to the Communication and Media Unit of the Visual Arts Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the first meeting of the Policy Council of the 15th Fajr Visual Arts Festival was attended by Mahmoud Salari, Deputy Director of Art Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Abdolreza Sohrabi, Director General of the Visual Arts Center, Seyed Abbas. Mirhashmi, secretary of the 15th festival and members of the policy council of this period of the festival were held in the meeting hall.

In this meeting, Mahmoud Salari, deputy of artistic affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, while emphasizing the high importance of Fajr visual arts festival, said: This festival can determine the future of visual arts in the country. If we in the field of visual arts can have a precise and correct rail, its blessings will be given to other art fields such as: cinema, animation, performing arts, etc.
He continued: “If we cannot spread a clear, transparent, sublime and religion-oriented thought in the field of visual arts of the country, in this case, unfortunately, all fields must try to prevent possible harm.”
Referring to the importance of the selection of members of the policy making council, the vice president of artistic affairs said: I hope that we will be able to present everything that has come in the field of our transcendental ethics and epistemological concepts in the 15th festival.
In the final part of his speech, Salari pointed out the damages in the field of art in recent years and the dilution of knowledge in it, and announced the efforts to reduce these damages in the coming periods of Fajr Visual Arts Festival.

In another part of this meeting, Abdul Reza Sohrabi, Director General of Visual Arts Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, said: Fajr Visual Arts Festival is the most important event that is held in the field of visual arts in the country. Due to the importance of the festival and the role of visual arts as a platform for other art disciplines, together with Mr. Mirhashmi, we decided to be more careful in choosing the members of the policy council for this period of the festival. I hope we can draw a process that will be useful and effective in advancing the goals of the cultural-artistic front of the Islamic Revolution and will create a suitable foundation for the future periods of the festival.
He further stated: “Changing the structure and form of Fajr Visual Arts Festival is one of our serious concerns, but since the plan presented for this change may not reach this year’s festival, we will hold the 15th festival with the same style and style as before.” did Therefore, the structural changes of the festival will come to the fore in the 16th period. I hope that with the cooperation of the esteemed members of the 15th Festival Policy Council, we will be able to create a different event than the previous ones.
In another part of this meeting, Seyyed Abbas Mirhashmi, the secretary of the 15th Fajr Visual Arts Festival, said: Last year, we spent a lot of time designing a new structure for the festival, but considering that this plan still needs expertise and study, it was decided that In this period, we will proceed according to the procedure and structure of the previous periods of the festival.
He added: If we review the current events of the art world, we will see that the existing walls between disciplines have been shortened or completely disappeared in some places. Despite this, the existing walls between our art disciplines are still high and regardless of this, we have a strange insistence to build walls between the trends in art disciplines. This situation is not compatible with the current requirements of the art world. One of the goals of new art is to fade, shorten and remove the said walls. I hope we can come up with ideas based on which artistic trends can be merged with each other and reduce the multiplicity of trends as much as possible. Although we may encounter challenges in some cases, this view is the one we should move towards. Therefore, in this period of the festival, like the previous period, we will have all artistic disciplines.
In the continuation of this meeting, each member of the festival’s policy council mentioned their points and opinions in order to hold the 15th Fajr Visual Arts Festival as well as possible.
At the end, Mahmoud Salari, the deputy of artistic affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, handed over the appointment orders to the policy-making council members of the 15th festival. Therefore, Abdolreza Sohrabi, Director General of the Visual Arts Center as the head of the Policy Council and Seyed Abbas Mirhashmi, Masoud Najabati, Seyed Masoud Shojaei Tabatabai, Abdur Rahim Siahkarzadeh, Yadullah Kabuli, Nader Qashqaei, Mina Sadri, Mohammad Reza Miri, Manijeh Armin, Parisa Shad Qazvini, Kazem Talai and Amir Rad were appointed as members of the policy council of the 15th Fajr Visual Arts Festival.
