If the mayor’s injuries are found to be fake, we will take it seriously

According to the Fars correspondent, Alireza Zakani, the mayor of Tehran, on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding between the metropolitan assembly and the Supreme Council of Provinces, said in response to the news of the mayor’s self-mutilation in District 19: With all our capacities, we took steps to uphold the rights of the city and its citizens
But forensic reports have reportedly shown that what happened may have been fabricated, so the inspectorate and other departments were instructed to follow up.
He added: “After reviewing and determining it, basic measures will be taken.”
Zakani, in response to the question whether the mayor has been dismissed, said: the violation in the referred building has been proven and 4 additional floors are under construction and the action of the district in this regard has been correct.
He continued: “The forensic report does not have an explicit statement about self-harm and it is speculation, but if the injuries are found to be fake, we will have a hard time dealing with them, and if we reach this conclusion, it is not fake, we will defend the personnel rights.”
Regarding the toll circular before it was approved by the council, he said: “In this regard, the procedure will be followed and on Sunday this issue will be approved by the city council and whatever the council approves will be implemented.”
Zakani said: “In the joint memorandum with the Supreme Council of Provinces that was signed today, we will use the different capacities of 19 metropolises with the Supreme Council of Provinces, which has special capacities, and through this, participatory management to revive the realization of the constitution.” (Principles 100 to 105) We take steps to provide better services to the people.
He continued: “This memorandum is due to the low capacity of the councils, what is sought is to revive the constitution and raise the position of the councils in local, regional and national areas.”
