The play “Cherry Orchard” is one of Chekhov’s most famous works, which has been directed by various artists and many well-known theater actors have played roles in it.
The story of this play is about a Russian aristocratic woman and her family who are facing bankruptcy due to debt, and their memorable cherry orchard is mortgaged by the bank, and since the family has no income other than the loan, their orchard and property are going to be auctioned at a certain date. At the same time, the family does nothing to save themselves and prevent the orchard from being sold, and in the end, the cherry orchard is sold to a newly wealthy peasant, and the Ranowski family leaves the orchard, hearing the sound of an ax cutting down the trees in the orchard. will be
It is said that this play is Chekhov’s last work. It was written in 1903 and staged a year later under the direction of Stanislavsky.
Shahrashani previously performed the play “August in Osage County” with his young students at the Mehrgan Theater, and part of the performances of this show were accompanied by the corona virus holidays, and he resumed the performance of this play in the difficult conditions of the corona virus in the summer of 2019.
