“Qurqoshum” was among the top 5 films of the Polish Groundoff Festival

The fictional documentary film “Koroshum” was among the top 5 films of the 16th Polish Grandoff Festival in the cinematography section.

Charso Press: The film “Qorgoshoom” directed by Hossein Najari and Fatima Tashesi and produced by Meshkat Cultural Institute, which was among 4100 films from all over the world that made it to the final stage of the Grandoff Festival, became one of the top 5 films of this festival in the cinematography section.

The fictional documentary “Qurqoshum” was screened on Thursday, December 10, 2022, at this festival.

The Grandoff Festival is one of the most prestigious festivals in the world, where nominated films are evaluated by an international jury consisting of 80 experts, theorists, directors and actors from different countries of the world.

The license to make “Qorgoshum” was issued in early 1400 and the production of this film was completed after 6 months.

The film “Qurgoshum” was made with a historical look at Angoran mine and while pointing out the age of this mine and its mechanized operation by Zindayad Morteza Rostgar before the revolution, it addressed the problems that are evident in that area and mine.

In this film, while referring to the deprivations of the Angoran region, the boldness of some traditional beliefs is one of the issues that are shown in the sequences of the film.

There is not much information about the mining activities of Angoran mine in the distant past. The first exploitation license of Angoran mine was issued in 1301 in the name of Mr. Safari, but in the same year the issued license was temporarily canceled and thus the mining activity was stopped until 1324. In 1338, with the handing over of the mine to Etihad Sarb Angoran Company under the management of Morteza Rostgar, mining activities began in a primitive and non-mechanized way.

Before the implementation of the open pit mining plan, mining was done underground and irregularly. With the relative progress of exploratory operations and the determination of mine reserves, preparations were made for the design of an open pit mine, and thus the first open mine plan, which was known as the final mine plan for a long time, was prepared by Mr. Kennedy from Golden Associate in 1347. .

In 1348, Angoran Mine was given to Calcimin Company. To transport the required soil from the mine to the Calcimin company for concentration, a 19 km long rope way was designed by Rastgar himself.

Before the revolution, many groups of American, French, German, and Indian specialists were working in various projects in this mine.

Angoran mine was confiscated in 1359 and its owner was deposed despite having a defensible track record.
