Serious concern of the city theater director

The director of the Shahr Theater Complex speaks of a serious concern; The onslaught of a multitude of performance demands that will remain unanswered, but at the same time emphasizes that the rights of any group that has made a contract with this set of contracts will not be lost.

Theater News Base: Now that the state theaters have resumed their activities after a period of silence, the directors of these theaters are in a difficult situation; On the one hand, a large group of artists who have been waiting for years to work, and on the other hand, collections whose capacity is often less than the volume of these demands. Add to this the inevitable change in the directors of the Ministry of Guidance, which has created another preoccupation for artists.

In such a situation, Ebrahim Goleddarzadeh, the director of Shahr Theater, says that many of the groups that have contracts to perform in this series have spent money to prepare their works, and some of them have even received the first installment of their grant, but will not perform this year. . He, of course, emphasizes that these groups are the priority of the performance and does his best to ensure that the rights of no group are lost.

Referring to the successive closures of the theater during the Corona, the artistic director adds: “Many theater artists have not worked for two years, and some had worked for two years before the start of the Corona and were waiting to go on stage in 1998. Now It is 1400 and unfortunately this year it is not their turn to perform and with this, however, they have not been able to work for five or six years until next year. These friends are definitely right, but our situation is also very difficult. How can we give a performance to all our friends who have been waiting for years in the city theater?

“We have a lot of shows that have had their contracts signed in 1998 and have received permission from the Monitoring and Evaluation Council, and some have even received an installment of their contract amount but have not yet been able to do so,” he said. Naturally, these will be a priority for implementation.

Golehdarzadeh goes on to say that many managers have faced many challenges during the Corona era: I do not think any manager will face such a strange situation and this volume of demand. Years ago, for example, three hundred and four hundred requests reached the city theater, and we answered forty and said no to the rest, but now this is not the case, and maybe about a thousand requests have been received for performance in this series.

The director of the Shahr Theater Complex emphasizes in the end: As long as we are, we will keep the promise that the government has made with theatrical groups and the promises that these groups have made to perform in the Shahr Theater, and there is no need to worry about this.
