“Taher Taheri,” a neurosurgeon, said in a television interview with “Tabib” program: “The onset of the disease led to a blood infection caused by an underlying disease and a secondary lung infection. They were admitted to the intensive care unit of Khatam al-Anbiya Hospital.”
“Immediately, his treatment process began and he was placed in intensive care,” he continued. “Because their level of consciousness had dropped due to lack of oxygen, we immediately started the main measures to control the infection, and because they were not breathing well, we performed supportive treatments by placing air tubes to increase the level of consciousness.”
“His disease is the underlying disease of ALS, a progressive disease of programmed death of neuronal cells in the cerebral cortex, spinal cord, and brainstem that affects the motor part of the brain. Upper extremities, especially mobility in the upper extremities and weakness in the lower extremities and swallowing and respiratory disorders, so routine treatments that are performed around the world, including supportive and medical treatments and rehabilitation for them are being done to prevent “Secondary infections will be prevented, and we hope that with the measures that are being taken, the lungs will be rehabilitated so that we can separate this noble mother from the device and see her recover.”
