He added: Tehran Municipality is obliged to take advantage of the active and effective cooperation and participation of relevant agencies and organizations of government, private sector, public and non-governmental organizations in preparing the plan and also in accordance with the comprehensive plan for lighting spaces in Tehran approved in 1394. Tehran Municipality is obliged to put the optimal engineering of electricity resources, modification of energy consumption pattern and design of energy efficient lighting, coordination in urban lighting and prevention of light pollution and representation of the identity of urban spaces as its top priority.
This member of the Tehran City Council said: I ask the mayor of Tehran to take basic measures regarding the lighting situation in Tehran. Unfortunately, many streets in the city are in darkness and people do not feel safe. Days are in trouble.
Sadeghi said: “Many traffic lanes have become permanent places for accidents and injuries to citizens due to lack of lighting. Darkness in many parks, parks and suburban spaces has become safe places for criminals and drug addicts to gather.”
